Role Description We are looking for a Tax Director to own the firm's tax practice a full-time, on-site leadership role in Ahmedabad. This is a seat at the table, not just a review chair: you will lead the tax function day to day and act as a strategic advisor to clients and firm leadership on every significant tax matter. You will: Lead tax compliance and preparation across a diverse portfolio of corporate and individual clients, with final review authority on complex returnsDesign and implement tax planning strategies that measurably reduce client tax exposureTrack legislative and regulatory changes and translate them into clear, timely guidance for clients and the teamAdvise clients on the tax implications of business decisions structuring, transactions, expansion, and exitsBuild, mentor, and quality-control a high-performing tax team, setting review standards the whole practice runs onPartner with our accounting and advisory teams so tax insight is embedded in everything the firm deliversGive firm leadership the tax perspective it needs for growth planning and risk managementQualifications CA, CPA, EA, or equivalent professional qualification with substantial post-qualification experience in taxation, including time in a leadership roleDeep command of tax law and compliance, with a track record of managing diverse client portfolios through full filing cyclesStrong grounding in accounting comfortable moving between financial statements and tax records and reconciling the twoProven experience leading tax teams: managing deadlines, developing people, and improving processes in a professional services environmentThe ability to explain complex tax positions in plain language that clients act on with confidenceExacting attention to detail, high ethical standards, and a genuine commitment to client service .
