Retail Salesman (Sweet Shop) Job Title: Retail Salesman / Counter Sales Executive Industry: Sweets, Bakery, Namkeen and Food Retail Location: Visakhapatnam Employment: Full time Job Summary We are looking for an energetic and customer-friendly Retail Salesman to handle counter sales, product display, packing, billing support and customer service at our sweet shop. Key Responsibilities Welcome customers and understand their requirements. Explain products, prices, ingredients, shelf life and available offers. Recommend suitable sweets, namkeen, bakery products and gift packs. Provide samples according to company policy. Accurately weigh, pack, label and hand over products. Upsell premium products, combos and larger pack sizes. Refill counters and maintain attractive product displays. Check freshness, expiry dates and product condition regularly. Follow FIFO/FEFO and report damaged or near-expiry products. Coordinate with billing, packing, kitchen and stock teams. Support billing and digital-payment collection when assigned. Maintain counter cleanliness, hygiene and food-safety standards. Wear the prescribed uniform, cap, gloves and name badge. Participate in opening stock checks and closing stock reconciliation. Handle customer complaints politely and escalate when required. Meet daily and monthly sales targets. Candidate Requirements Education: 10th/12th pass or above. Experience: 03 years in sweets, bakery, supermarket, FMCG or retail sales. Freshers with positive communication skills may apply. Ability to speak Telugu; basic Hindi and English preferred. Basic calculation, weighing and billing knowledge. Willingness to work in shifts, on weekends and during festivals. Comfortable standing for long periods. Honest, punctual, well-groomed and customer-focused. Key Skills Customer service, counter sales, upselling, product knowledge, weighing and packing, stock handling, hygiene, teamwork and complaint handling. Success Criteria Achievement of individual and outlet sales targets. Increased average bill value through effective upselling. Accurate weighing, packing and billing. Minimum product wastage and stock variance. Clean and fully stocked product counter. Positive customer feedback and repeat business. Regular attendance, punctuality and grooming compliance. .
