Role & responsibilities Generate new business for air export and import cargo movements. Develop and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, exporters, importers, CHA/customs brokers, airlines, GSAs, consolidators, and logistics companies. Identify prospective customers and develop new sales opportunities. Handle air freight sales, rate enquiries, quotations, negotiations, and customer follow-ups. Coordinate with airlines and GSAs for cargo space availability, pricing, booking, and shipment planning. Negotiate competitive freight rates with airlines and other service providers. Manage day-to-day air cargo operational activities and ensure timely shipment execution. Coordinate with customers, airport cargo terminals, CHA, transporters, airlines, and internal teams. Monitor shipment movement from booking, documentation, customs clearance, uplift, transit, and final delivery. Handle urgent, priority, project, and time-sensitive cargo requirements. Ensure proper preparation and coordination of AWB/HAWB/MAWB and other cargo documentation. Follow up on pending shipments, offloads, cargo discrepancies, delays, and operational issues. Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high service standards. Develop business from existing customers through cross-selling and repeat business. Monitor market freight rates, airline capacity, routes, and competitor activities. Maintain sales pipeline, customer database, quotations, booking reports, and business development records. Coordinate payment and outstanding follow-ups with customers where required. Work towards assigned monthly and annual sales, revenue, tonnage, and profitability targets. Preferred candidate profile Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Air Cargo, Freight Forwarding, Airline Cargo, GSA, Logistics, or related industry. Strong knowledge of Air Export and Import Freight Forwarding. Good understanding of airline cargo booking and airport cargo operations. Existing network of freight forwarders, exporters, importers, airlines, CHA/customs agents, and cargo industry contacts will be highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to generate new business and acquire customers. Strong negotiation and commercial skills. Good understanding of air freight pricing, routing, transit time, chargeable weight, and airline rates. Knowledge of AWB, HAWB, MAWB, customs documentation, and cargo handling procedures. Ability to independently manage both sales and operational coordination. .
