About the Role We are seeking an Application Support Engineer to help maintain, support, and improve a growing suite of internal business applications and operational tools. Our technology ecosystem includes custom-built applications developed using Next.js, React, and Postgre SQL , along with various internal and third-party business systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working closely with business users, implementing improvements, and ensuring critical business systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day support for internal applications and business systems. Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related issues. Support and maintain internally developed web applications. Implement application enhancements and process improvements based on business requirements. Monitor application performance and proactively identify issues. Configure user accounts, permissions, and system settings. Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Coordinate with development teams for application enhancements and issue resolution. Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate new features. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and support guides. Ensure applications remain reliable, secure, and well-maintained. Required Skills & Experience Must Have Strong understanding of: o Next.js o React o Postgre SQL Experience troubleshooting and supporting web-based applications. Good understanding of REST APIs and API integrations. Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions. Experience working directly with end users and business teams. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Comfortable working Toronto (EST) business hours from India. Nice to Have Basic knowledge of Java Script and Type Script. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Experience with application monitoring and logging tools. Understanding of authentication, user management, and security best practices. Exposure to Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). What Success Looks Like Internal applications remain stable, secure, and well-maintained. User issues are resolved promptly and effectively. Business-requested enhancements are delivered efficiently and accurately. Documentation remains current and organized. Application downtime and operational disruptions are minimized. Preferred Background 25+ years of experience in Application Support, Technical Support, Systems Administration, or a similar role. Experience supporting custom-built web applications. Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
