To supervise and manage civil construction activities at the project site, ensuring work is executed safely, within the approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, budget, and project schedule. The role will involve close coordination with project management, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and the quality and safety teams. Key Responsibilities - Plan, supervise, and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules. Execute activities including excavation, PCC, RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, waterproofing, finishing, foundations, piling-related works, and other civil works as applicable. Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies or technical issues before execution. Coordinate with subcontractors, supervisors, surveyors, equipment operators, and workmen for smooth execution. Monitor daily and weekly progress against planned targets and take corrective action for delays. Ensure proper deployment and utilization of manpower, materials, machinery, and equipment. Coordinate with planning and project teams for resource and activity scheduling. Check quantities, measurements, and work completion for subcontractor billing. Maintain daily progress reports, site records, measurement sheets, and other project documentation. Coordinate with consultants/client representatives for inspections, approvals, and resolution of site issues. Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved method statements and project specifications. Identify construction constraints and proactively resolve site-level technical and execution issues. Key Responsibilities Quality Control Ensure all civil works comply with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements, and applicable standards. Conduct inspections at various stages of construction and coordinate with the QC team for approvals. Check reinforcement, shuttering, dimensions, levels, alignment, concrete placement, curing, and finishing quality. Raise and close inspection requests, checklists, NCRs, and corrective/preventive actions. Monitor workmanship and identify defects or deviations at an early stage. Ensure materials received at site are inspected and approved before use. Maintain quality documentation and ensure traceability of construction activities. Support preparation and implementation of quality control plans and inspection procedures. Safety Responsibilities Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and safe work practices. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers understand activity-specific safety requirements. Identify unsafe conditions and immediately take corrective action. Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of tools, machinery, scaffolding, lifting equipment, and temporary works. Coordination & Reporting Coordinate effectively with Project Manager, Construction Manager, Planning, QS/Billing, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, Stores, and subcontractors. Attend site coordination and progress meetings. Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and highlight delays, constraints, and resource requirements. Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, inspections, measurements, and completed works. Assist in preparing as-built drawings and project handover documentation. Required Qualifications & Experience Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution. 5 to 20 years of relevant site experience in civil construction/project execution and/or QA/QC in Industrial/Commercial & Residential (High Rise Buildings) Experience in RCC, structural, foundation, finishing, infrastructure, industrial, commercial, or residential projects will be preferred. Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, BOQ, method statements, ITPs, and quality procedures. Knowledge of relevant IS codes and construction standards. Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams independently. Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office/Excel; knowledge of project management software will be an advantage.
