About the Role & Team This is Amplitude's first People Team hire in India, and we're being deliberate about who we bring in first. People Operations is at an inflection point. A lot of what takes hours todayHR tickets, Workday updates, onboarding taskswill be handled by AI-assisted workflows in the near future. We're building toward that now, and this role is part of that foundation. You'll join the global People Operations team as a dedicated shared services resource, handling the operational work that keeps our EMEA and AMER specialists focused on higher-complexity, in-market problemsand supporting People Business Partners globally when they need an extra set of hands. In the near term, the work is largely transactional: resolving HR helpdesk tickets, processing Workday data requests, coordinating onboarding logistics. That's not a knock on the roleit's the job, and doing it with speed, accuracy, and care matters enormously. Over time, as we invest in AI tooling and automation, that transactional load will shift. When it does, this role shifts with it: taking on process improvement projects, helping document and refine how the team operates, and growing into a contributor who shapes practices rather than just follows them. We'll support that progression. Because this is a remote role with no local People Ops team around you, we need someone who is genuinely self-directed. You'll be given clear priorities and good systems to work in, but you'll own your own day. If you thrive in structured work but feel motivated by the promise of doing more over time, this is a good fit. As a People Operations Analyst, you will: Own shared services and HR helpdesk Resolve Tier 12 employee inquiries through our HR ticketing system (Console AI) on behalf of EMEA and AMER regional teams: policy questions, employment verifications, leave requests, and benefits inquiries Triage issues that need specialist inputBenefits, Payroll, Legal, or regional People Opswith clear context and a complete handoff Hit response SLAs consistently and flag patterns in ticket volume to your team lead Keep Workday accurate Process employee lifecycle transactions in Workday on behalf of EMEA and AMER specialists: job changes, compensation updates, terminations, leaves of absence, location changes, and new hire data entry Conduct regular data quality checks and resolve discrepancies in partnership with regional teams and Payroll Follow SOX offboarding controls accurately and on time Support global People Business Partners on request Handle administrative follow-through on PBP requests: pulling reports, tracking action items, prepping materials, and owning the ops layer so PBPs can stay in their lane Assist with new hire onboarding coordinationbackground checks, IT provisioning, welcome logisticsand ensure clean handoffs between TA, IT, and the business Flag anything requiring compliance, legal, or specialist attention before acting on it yourself Keep operational needs on track Provide People Ops support for any India-specific logistics as Amplitude's presence in the country grows Assist with global employee programs, events, and operational tasks as directed by EMEA and AMER team leads Help us build better processes over time Document the work you're doingnot just for records, but to help the team identify what to automate next Participate in piloting AI-assisted People Ops workflows as they're rolled out Share feedback on friction points in the work; your day-to-day perspective is how we'll know where to improve You'll be a great addition to the team if you have: 23 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or a closely related administrative or analytical role Hands-on experience with an HRISWorkday preferred, but any enterprise HRIS is a strong signal Experience handling employee .
