Before our software developers write even a single line of code, they have to understand what drives our customers. You'll Make a Difference By Analyzing software requirements and design comprehensive test cases to ensure thorough coverage. Executing various testing types, including Functional, Regression, System, Smoke, and Integration testing. Efficiently logging, tracking, and verifying defects using tools like Jira, collaborating closely with development teams for resolution. Communicating testing status, potential risks, issues, and overall quality metrics effectively to all stakeholders. Actively participating in Agile ceremonies, collaborating with developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to refine requirements and ensure quality throughout the development cycle. Preparing detailed test reports and provide essential support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Contributing to the continuous improvement of our Quality Assurance processes and methodologies. Leveraging your exposure to Playwright automation to enhance testing efficiency and coverage (a significant plus!). Job Requirements/ Skills 5-9 years of dedicated experience in Manual Software Testing. Strong understanding and practical experience with SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proven ability in test case design, execution, and comprehensive defect management. Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills, with the ability to articulate technical details clearly. Hands-on experience with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail. Good To Have Practical experience or strong familiarity with Playwright automation. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience with API testing using tools like Postman. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
