Technical Analyst Post-Merger Integration (Hybrid: Business + Technical) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Analyst to support Post-Merger Integration (PMI) initiatives. This hybrid role combines robust domain understanding with hands-on technical skills to independently discover and validate requirements, design clear frameworks, and develop execution plans. A core focus is to analyze the acquired companys technology and process stack, map it to our ecosystem, and recommend the best integration approach. They will ensure outcomes are well-defined, feasible, measurable, and delivered on time. Key Responsibilities - PMI Discovery & Assessment: Rapidly inventory and assess the acquired companys product, data, and process stack (applications, data models, APIs, integrations, workflows, SLAs), documenting current-state capabilities and constraints. - Stack Mapping & Alignment: Create detailed mappings from acquired systems to our platforms and processes, including data entities/attributes, interface touchpoints, roles/permissions, and operational handoffs; identify overlaps, gaps, and deprecation candidates. - Integration Options & Recommendations: Propose integration patterns (e.g., consolidate, federate, phase-and-bridge), articulate trade-offs, and recommend best-path actions aligned to business outcomes, risk, cost, and timeline. - Technical Decomposition: Translate target-state outcomes into epics, user stories, data contracts, and interface specifications; outline system interactions, dependencies, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, compliance). - Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Lead structured discovery with stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and document business needs and success metrics; convert ambiguity into clear, testable, and technically feasible requirements. - Frameworks & Documentation: Produce PMI-specific artifacts (current/target state diagrams, sequencing/transition plans, cutover runbooks, decision logs, RACI/DACI, prioritization matrices) to drive shared understanding and decisions. - Execution Planning: Build and maintain integration plans with scope, milestones, dependency maps, risks/assumptions, and mitigation strategies; define and track measurable outcomes and KPIs. - Data Quality & Reconciliation: Partner with data teams to define reconciliation strategies, data quality checks, and migration validation plans; ensure lineage and auditability across systems during transitions. - Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder communication independently across both organizations; facilitate workshops, align on scope and phasing, handle trade-offs, and maintain a consistent communication cadence. - Status Reporting: Provide transparent, timely status updates and executive summaries highlighting progress, decisions/asks, risks, and blockers. Expected Deliverables (PMI) - Stack inventory and current-state assessment - System and data mapping matrix (acquired acquirer) - Integration options summary with recommendations and trade offs - BRD/FRD and user stories with acceptance criteria - Cutover plan and runbook, with risk/rollback considerations - Reconciliation and validation plan with data quality checks Qualifications (Must-Have) - 10+ years of overall experience in technology or product environments, including 5+ years as a Technical Analyst (or similar) with hands-on experience in integrations, re-platforming, or PMI - Demonstrated ability to assess unfamiliar stacks and produce clear mappings to a target ecosystem - Domain-informed decision-making; can recommend integration approaches and trade-offs during discovery/design - Technical fluency: read/write basic SQL; interpret API specs; understand data models and identity/permission models - Strong stakeholder management and communication; facilitates workshops and executive readouts - Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Snowflake, and Lucidchart (or equivalents) Working Style, Tools, and Processes - Working style: Independent executor who drives clarity in ambiguous, fast-changing PMI contexts; concise communicator who surfaces risks early and proposes options; collaborative partner balancing business value, user impact, and technical feasibility. - Tools: Salesforce (CRM), Snowflake (data platform), Jira (delivery), Confluence (documentation), and Lucidchart (flows/architecture). Also comfortable with Google Docs/Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations, and Sigma Computing or comparable lightweight dashboards/BI for metrics. - Core practices: Executive-ready status updates, decision logs, RAID registers; disciplined backlog hygiene, requirements traceability, and version control for documentation. .
