Learn more about us: https://hyprix.in About the Role We are looking for a hands-on IT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to own and manage our internal compute, networking, and user systems end-to-end. This role is critical to ensuring that our engineering teams have reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure to build, simulate, and deploy systems. You will work across server infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and user IT systems from setting up high-performance simulation environments to maintaining day-to-day IT operations. This role requires strong ownership, practical problem-solving, and the ability to build and maintain systems from scratch in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications: 35 years of experience in a relevant role Core Responsibilities 1) Server Infrastructure & Virtualization Manage and maintain Proxmox-based infrastructure. Deploy and manage Docker containers and Docker Compose workflows. Deploy and manage LXC containers using automation scripts. Create and manage VM templates and handle VM deployments. Allocate and optimize compute resources for simulation workloads. Deploy and maintain internal services across Docker and LXC environments. Maintain uptime, monitor performance, and ensure system reliability. Plan and execute regular backups and disaster recovery procedures. Conduct periodic disaster recovery testing. Monitor server hardware health and manage replacements/upgrades. Build internal tooling and automation scripts using Python. 2) Networking & Infrastructure Configure and manage routing rules and internal network architecture. Set up and maintain OPNsense firewall systems. Define and enforce firewall rules and security policies. Manage and expand internal network infrastructure. Configure and maintain managed switches. Monitor network health, performance, and security. Perform network-level safety analysis and threat mitigation. 3) IT Operations & System Administration Set up and manage user devices (laptops/desktops). Perform regular software updates and system maintenance. Handle hardware upgrades and troubleshooting. Maintain asset inventory and tracking systems. Provide technical support for internal teams. Manage user permissions and system access controls. Monitor system security and potential threats. Install and configure required software/tools for teams. Required Abilities Strong experience with Linux-based systems and server administration. Hands-on experience with Proxmox or similar virtualization platforms. Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and container deployment. Solid understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and routing. Experience with OPNsense or similar firewall systems. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across hardware and software. Experience writing automation scripts in Python, Bash, or similar. Experience managing internal infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. Nice to have: Experience managing self-hosted Git platforms such as Forgejo, Gitea, or GitLab. Exposure to high-performance compute or simulation environments. Familiarity with monitoring tools and logging systems. Experience with security best practices and threat detection. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
