Job Title: Store In-charge Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh Hospital: Hospital, 250 Beds Reporting to: Head Administration / Purchase Manager Position Summary The Store In-charge will be responsible for managing the hospitals central store operations, including procurement, inventory control, material handling, vendor coordination, and documentation. The role ensures uninterrupted availability of quality materials and consumables to various departments in compliance with hospital policies, cost efficiency, and audit standards. Key Responsibilities 1. Procurement & Purchasing Execute all purchasing activities in line with approved policies and procedures. Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for optimum price, quality, and delivery. Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and related documents. Support departments with quotations and price comparisons for tender processes. Handle vendor claims related to defective, short-supplied, or missing items. 2. Inventory & Store Management Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, and balances. Monitor and maintain minimum stock levels for all critical materials. Ensure timely replenishment to prevent stockouts or overstocking. Maintain segregation of expired, damaged, and condemned materials. Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies. 3. Coordination & Administration Coordinate with user departments to understand material requirements and priorities. Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries. Ensure proper documentation, filing, and record-keeping of all store transactions. Maintain hygiene, orderliness, and safety standards within the store premises. Generate and submit regular MIS reports on stock, consumption, and procurement. 4. Compliance & Audit Ensure adherence to hospital policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards. Support internal and external audit processes with accurate documentation. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for store and purchase functions. Requirements Qualifications & Experience - Education: B.Com / Graduate or above - Experience: 8+ years of experience in hospital store or purchase management - Preferred Exposure: Healthcare or pharmaceutical inventory management Skills Required - Excellent communication and coordination skills - Robust negotiation and vendor management capability - Time management and planning skills - Leadership and team-handling ability - Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software .
