Junior Software Tester

Role descriptionJunior Software Testers evaluate software by running tests, identifying bugs, and documenting issues. They follow test plans, collaborate with developers, and help ensure the software functions correctly. Their role involves learning testing methodologies, contributing to quality assurance, and gaining handson experience in software testing processes. OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Software Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2.6 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual and automation testing processes. You will be responsible for testing software applications to identify bugs, usability issues, and improvements to ensure the highest quality product is delivered to our users. ResponsibilitiesTest Case Development: Create, maintain, and execute test cases based on requirements and design documents. Manual Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on various software applications. Automation Testing: Collaborate with the QA team to develop and execute automated test scripts (if applicable). Bug Identification: Identify, report, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and ensure high-quality product releases. Documentation: Document test results, create detailed bug reports, and provide feedback on software performance. Test Environment Setup: Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments and test data. Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to existing testing processes and methodologies. RequirementsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing. Experience in testing web and mobile applications. QualificationsBE/ME/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/MCM/BCA.PGDCA/ or equivalent .
