We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer Ruby on Rails to join our Product & Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable SaaS applications that power our financial management platform. You will play a key role in enhancing application performance, reliability, and scalability while ensuring the smooth operation of billing, payment consolidation, and financial reporting systems. Office hours: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.(subject to business needs) Work from office (5 days a week) Work days: Monday to Friday Notice period - Immediate to 60 days only Job location- HSR LAYOUT BANGALORE Roles & Responsibilities:Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable web applications using Ruby on RailsRefactor and optimize existing applications to improve performance, scalability, security, and maintainabilityContribute to the deployment, monitoring, and support of production systems, ensuring high availability and reliabilityDevelop, integrate, and maintain REST and SOAP APIs to support business and partner integrationsEnsure the smooth operation of financial systems, including billing, payment consolidation, reporting, and data integrityWrite clean, efficient, and well-tested code by following SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Clean Code practicesDevelop and maintain automated test suites using RSpec to ensure application quality and reliabilityInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and timely resolutionCollaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.Desired profile:5+ years of hands-on experience in web application development, preferably building SaaS products and APIsStrong proficiency in Ruby on Rails with proven experience in developing and maintaining enterprise-grade applicationsStrong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, preferably MySQL, including database design and query optimization.Experience in designing, developing, and consuming REST and SOAP web servicesSolid understanding of software engineering principles, including SOLID, Design Patterns, and Clean Code practicesHands-on experience with automated testing frameworks, particularly RSpecExperience working with Linux environments and production support activities.Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.Working knowledge of Elasticsearch and MemcacheExperience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflowsKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practicesPractical experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar) to improve productivity while maintaining high code qualityStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills .
