Position Summary.What you'll do.About Team : We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a key position on Walmarts Driver Experience group under the Last Mile Delivery initiative. Driver experience is key to the success of the Last Mile platform that powers Walmarts Grocery, General Merchandize and Same Day Delivery propositions. We deal with driver Payments, miles driven, externalization of Walmart Core delivery services. Last Mile Delivery is expected to grow multiple times over in the next few years. In this role, you will develop highly scalable mobile apps to cater millions of drivers per day and solve complex software engineering problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology. You will drive projects of high visibility across the organization while leading the work of other small groups of six to ten engineers across geographies. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
