Position: Civil Engineer BOQ & Estimation Experience: 38 Years Location: Hyderabad / Project Locations Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer BOQ & Estimation who can independently review project drawings, BOQs, specifications, and site requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations within 24 hours of receiving an assignment. The candidate should have experience across civil construction, roads, drains, residential and commercial buildings, PRW works, electrical works, and solar projects. Key Responsibilities Review and analyse BOQs, drawings, layouts, specifications, and scope of work. Prepare detailed BOQs, rate analysis, quantity take-offs, and project estimates. Calculate material, labour, machinery, subcontractor, and other project costs. Obtain and analyse current market rates for construction materials and services. Prepare commercial quotations with appropriate margins and project overheads. Identify missing items, scope gaps, exclusions, and potential cost risks in BOQs. Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors for rates wherever required. Prepare estimates for both civil and electrical works. Complete assigned BOQ/estimation work within 24 hours, unless the project scope is exceptionally large. Support the management team in tender evaluation, bidding, and project costing. Maintain proper records of estimates, rate analysis, and previous project rates. Required Technical Experience Civil Works Candidate should have practical experience in estimating and BOQ preparation for: Roads and road infrastructure works Drains and drainage systems PRW / project-related civil works Residential buildings Commercial buildings Industrial civil works Foundations and RCC works Excavation, earthwork, PCC and RCC Masonry and plastering Flooring and finishing works Structural and miscellaneous civil works Electrical / Solar Works Experience in estimation and BOQ preparation for: AC/DC works Solar power projects / Solar Parks Electrical infrastructure associated with solar projects Cable laying and cable-related works Electrical foundations and associated civil works Electrical equipment installation-related works Balance of System (BOS) works Required Skills Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity estimation Excellent understanding of civil construction methods and rates Ability to perform rate analysis Good knowledge of current construction market rates Ability to read and understand civil/electrical drawings Proficiency in MS Excel Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred Ability to prepare professional quotations and cost sheets Strong analytical and numerical skills Ability to work independently under tight deadlines Good communication and coordination skills Key Requirement 24-Hour Turnaround: The candidate must be capable of taking an assigned BOQ/project, analysing the complete scope, and submitting a detailed and commercially practical estimation within 24 hours. Candidates who have experience handling multiple types of construction and EPC projects and can independently prepare estimates without continuous supervision will be preferred. Qualification B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution. Candidates with additional experience in Electrical / Solar EPC estimation will have an advantage. Preferred Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is: Experienced in tendering and estimation Commercially aware and understands project profitability Fast and accurate in BOQ analysis Familiar with contractor/subcontractor/vendor rates Comfortable working on multiple project types Capable of delivering under strict timelines Willing to take ownership of assigned estimation work Salary: Negotiable based on experience and capability. .
