Role & responsibilities - Trade Documentation: Handling and validating trade documents such as bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin to ensure compliance with trade regulations. - Risk Assessment: Assessing the creditworthiness of importers and exporters, evaluating the risks associated with trade transactions, and recommending suitable financing structures. - Financing Solutions: Structuring and providing financing options, including trade loans, pre-shipment and post-shipment financing, and working capital solutions to meet clients needs. - Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Staying up-to-date with international trade regulations, sanctions, and embargoes, and ensuring that all transactions are in compliance with them. - Trade Advisory: Providing expert advice to clients on trade finance strategies, helping them optimize cash flow and minimize risks associated with international trade. - Trade Risk Mitigation: Implementing risk mitigation strategies, such as credit insurance, credit guarantees, and credit enhancements to protect against trade-related risks .
