Having a large vision while not losing attention to detail Working on disruptive tech while hitting the market ASAP Role OverviewAs a mechanical design engineer, you will be involved in all phases of the new product development life cycle: Designing, Prototyping, Testing, and Manufacturing. Your everyday activities would include: system/sub-system level discussions, concept development, CAD design, FEA analysis, DFM analysis, prototyping, manufacturing, assembly, testing and production scale-up. Skills & RequirementsExperience Requirements:A BTech/MTech degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Design Engineering>7 years of experience designing and building mechanical systemsTechnical skill RequirementsStrong intuition for relevant math & physicsgeometry, trigonometry, calculuskinematics, dynamics, and material propertiesStrong fundamentals of mechanical engineeringapplied mechanics, strength of materials, component sizing, linkages & mechanisms, DFM, manufacturing methods, GD&T.Strong working knowledge of static and dynamic FEA on any simulation software (Ansys or Abaqus)Good knowledge of vendor ecosystem & offerings, manufacturer ecosystem & capabilities, industry standards etc.Highly proficient with at least one 3D CAD software (preferably Fusion 360)Strong understanding of gear trains design & manufacturing (preferable)Soft skill RequirementsPassionate about Robotics & DIY projectsEffectively handle multiple workloads and organize workflowsBe resourceful, creative about getting things done with a sense of urgencyWork with multiple teams (SCM, Manufacturing, Vendors) to get designs manufactured to the required quality standards.Be curious of whatever is happening in the company and pitch in wherever you think you can learn or add value.Go-getter attitude.Experience in building / guiding a team. .

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
