Walk-in || Service Centre Phlebotomist (Pune)

Role & responsibilities 1. Patient Care & Registration - Welcome patients professionally and verify their identity before sample collection. - Guide patients regarding test requirements, fasting instructions, and sample collection procedures. - Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and confidentiality throughout the visit. - Address patient queries courteously and escalate concerns when required. 2. Blood & Sample Collection - Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, and collection of other biological specimens as per SOPs. - Collect samples from adults, children, elderly patients, and difficult veins using appropriate techniques. - Ensure correct patient identification and sample labeling before dispatch. - Minimize patient discomfort while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. 3. Sample Handling & Processing - Verify test requisition forms and match them with collected samples. - Process, centrifuge (where applicable), store, and package samples according to laboratory protocols. 4. Quality & Safety Compliance - Follow NABL and company quality standards. - Adhere to infection prevention, biomedical waste management. - Report sample rejection, incidents, or non-conformities to the supervisor. 5. Customer Service - Deliver excellent patient service and maintain skilled behavior. - Handle patient feedback and complaints promptly and courteously. - Promote a positive patient experience aligned with Metropolis Healthcare's service standards. Preferred candidate profile - DMLT / BMLT / B.Sc. (Medical Laboratory Technology) or equivalent. - Certified phlebotomy training preferred. - Experience in a diagnostic laboratory or healthcare service centre is an added advantage. .
