Job Title: NPD Engineer - Suspension & Exhaust SystemsJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced NPD Engineer specializing in suspension and exhaust systems with deep expertise in CAD modelling and vehicle packaging. This role involves strong technical ownership of suspension component design within tight packaging constraints, and precise ownership of exhaust routing and heat shield design, requiring close coordination with various engineering teams. ResponsibilitiesTake strong technical ownership of suspension component design within tight packaging constraints.Coordinate closely with vehicle architecture teams to ensure adherence to design release and quality gates.Design exhaust routing, heat shields, and manage thermal clearances within a tightly constrained underbody environment.Collaborate effectively with Powertrain, Body, and Chassis teams to achieve optimal design solutions.Essential SkillsExpert-level proficiency in CATIA V5, including Part Design, Assembly Design, Generative Shape Design, Sketcher, and tube/pipe routing modules.Experience with Teamcenter for BOM management, change/release workflows, and design-in-context.Proficient in using FSS CAD Check for validation against master section and underbody surfaces.Ability to conduct DPA Check for compliance and engineering release and sign-off gates.Competency in IPS Check for clash detection, thermal clearance validation, and ground clearance studies.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong design engineering skills in suspension and exhaust systems.Proven experience in CAD modelling and vehicle packaging.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves working closely with multiple engineering teams, including Powertrain, Body, and Chassis. The position requires meticulous attention to design details within a tightly constrained underbody environment, and the use of advanced CAD software and validation tools.
