Project Manager Workday Location: Anywhere in India Work Mode: All 5 days from Office (No remote / No Hybrid) Experience : 8+ Years Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days only Interested candidates can send their resume to Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Project Manager Workday to lead the implementation of Workday Talent Management capabilities, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Optimization, and Learning. The role will be responsible for end-to-end project governance, planning, stakeholder coordination, testing oversight, deployment readiness, cutover management, and successful delivery across multiple implementation waves. The successful candidate will work closely with Workday Professional Services, HR Process CoEs, HR IT Solutions, HR Product Owners, and IT teams to ensure project objectives, timelines, quality standards, and business outcomes are achieved. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Governance - Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday Talent Management implementation projects. - Develop and maintain integrated project plans covering multiple workstreams and deployment waves. - Establish and manage project governance, steering committees, project reviews, and decision forums. - Manage project scope, timelines, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and budget. - Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within agreed scope and quality standards. - Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior business and IT stakeholders. Workday Stream Coordination - Coordinate implementation activities across: - Workday Talent Acquisition / Recruiting - Workday Talent Optimization - Workday Learning - Manage cross-stream dependencies, milestones, priorities, timelines, and deliverables. - Maintain a consolidated programme view across all implementation streams. - Ensure alignment between business, functional, technical, testing, and deployment teams. Workday Professional Services Management - Partner closely with Workday Professional Services throughout the implementation lifecycle. - Develop and maintain delivery plans covering design, configuration/build, testing, deployment, go-live, and hypercare. - Track progress against agreed milestones and deliverables. - Identify, manage, and escalate project risks and delivery challenges. - Drive timely resolution of issues impacting project delivery. Testing & Quality Management - Define and maintain the overall testing strategy in collaboration with business and Workday teams. - Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment validation. - Ensure test environments, resources, test data, and schedules are prepared and managed effectively. - Track testing progress, defects, risks, and readiness metrics. - Coordinate business and technical testing sign-offs. - Support deployment readiness assessments and Go/No-Go decisions. Cutover & Deployment - Develop and manage deployment and cutover strategies for each implementation wave. - Create and maintain detailed cutover plans covering business and IT activities. - Coordinate deployment readiness across business, HR, IT, and Workday teams. - Facilitate Go/No-Go reviews and deployment decision-making. - Coordinate transition to hypercare and ongoing support teams following go-live. - Support data migration planning and coordination from legacy HR systems to Workday. Stakeholder Management - Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across: - HR Leadership - HR IT Solutions - HR Process CoEs - HR Product Owners - IT Leadership - IT Product Teams - Workday Professional Services - Ensure stakeholders are informed, engaged, and aligned throughout the project lifecycle. - Communicate project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions effectively to senior leadership. Required Skills & Experience - 8+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise software implementations. - Proven experience managing Workday implementations from planning through Go-Live and Hypercare. - Strong experience in Workday Talent Management / Talent Acquisition / Recruiting / Learning. - Experience with Workday Talent Optimization is highly preferred. - Experience managing phased, multi-country, or multi-wave Workday deployments. - Strong experience coordinating SIT, UAT, deployment readiness, and cutover activities. - Experience working with Workday Professional Services. - Solid understanding of HR Technology / HRIS transformation programmes. - Experience managing global stakeholders in complex enterprise environments. - Strong project governance, planning, RAID management, reporting, and delivery control skills. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. .
