About The Role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead production engineering and manufacturing operations within a dynamic iron and steel manufacturing environment. The role requires driving operational excellence, optimizing production processes, leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end engineering and manufacturing projects from planning through execution and production rollout. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and operational performance. Oversee production planning and coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure timely achievement of production targets. Develop and implement manufacturing processes that improve efficiency while reducing downtime and waste. Collaborate with design, quality, procurement, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product development and production. Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and automation initiatives. Monitor production KPIs including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, rejection rates, cycle time, and productivity. Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and engineering documentation. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental compliance across manufacturing operations. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for sourcing machinery, components, and engineering materials while ensuring quality and cost optimization. Support recent product introduction (NPI) activities, including process validation and production readiness. Lead engineering change management and process improvement initiatives. Mentor and develop production engineers and shop floor teams to build technical capabilitie .
