Position Summary: Zeeco India is seeking an experienced Application Engineer Burners to provide technical application support to the sales team for industrial burner systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combustion engineering background with hands-on experience in burner design, thermal calculations, proposal engineering, and customer technical support. This role will bridge the gap between customers, sales, and engineering teams by delivering technically optimized combustion solutions that meet customer requirements and applicable industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical application support to the sales team during pre-sales and proposal stages for industrial burner projects. Review customer inquiries, process data sheets, PFDs, P&IDs, specifications, and tender documents to determine project requirements. Perform combustion and thermal calculations for burner selection, sizing, heat balance, combustion air requirements, fuel consumption, and emissions. Prepare technical proposals, datasheets, equipment sizing calculations, and process documentation. Recommend optimum burner technologies based on process conditions, fuel characteristics, emissions requirements, and customer objectives. Support customers by providing technical clarifications during bid evaluations and commercial discussions. Coordinate with global engineering teams to ensure technically compliant and competitive proposals. Review engineering deliverables, GA drawings, process calculations, and technical documentation before project execution. Participate in HAZOP, design review meetings, and technical risk assessments where required. Assist project execution and commissioning teams in resolving process and combustion-related technical issues. Provide troubleshooting support for burner performance, flame stability, combustion efficiency, and emissions optimization. Keep abreast of industry standards, combustion technologies, and environmental regulations to support new product applications. Travel to customer sites for technical discussions, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and performance testing as required. Required Technical Skills: Strong understanding of industrial combustion systems and burner technologies. Experience with: Oil & Gas Burners Process Burners Boiler Burners Fired Heater Burners Combustion Air Systems Hands-on experience in: Burner sizing and selection Combustion calculations Heat & Material Balance (HMB) Valve sizing Pressure drop calculations Thermal design calculations Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Working knowledge of: API standards ASME codes PED IBR Familiarity with low-NOx combustion technologies and emissions reduction solutions. Exposure to hydrogen firing, alternative fuels, or decarbonization technologies will be an added advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA, Python, or process simulation software. Preferred Experience: Candidates should have experience supporting industrial combustion equipment for industries such as: Oil & Gas Petrochemical Refining Chemical Processing Industrial Boilers Process Heating Experience with combustion OEMs or engineering companies such as Koch Engineered Solutions, Thermax, John Zink, Fives, Honeywell, Zeeco, Callidus, or similar organizations will be highly preferred. Desired Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer-facing and presentation abilities. Ability to interpret customer requirements and develop technically sound solutions. Strong proposal engineering and technical documentation skills. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration. Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site support. Ideal Candidate Profile: Experience: 5 to 10+ years Current Role: Application Engineer / Process Engineer / Combustion Engineer / Proposal Engineer Industry: Industrial Burners, Boilers, Fired Heaters, Thermal Oxidizers, Combustion Systems, Oil & Gas (Highly Preferred) Core Expertise: Burner applications, combustion engineering, thermal calculations, proposal engineering, customer technical support, and pre-sales engineering.
