Company Description Independent legal practitioner is a client-focused law office that provides personalized legal services and representation. The practice handles a range of matters, which may include civil, criminal, corporate, and family law, depending on client needs. Working in a small practice environment offers close mentorship, direct exposure to court procedures, and hands-on experience in case handling. The practitioner values integrity, thorough preparation, and transparent communication with clients and stakeholders. Team members are encouraged to develop strong professional skills and grow into independent legal professionals. Role Description The Assistant Lawyer will work full time on-site in Indore, supporting the independent legal practitioner in daily case management and client service. Responsibilities include assisting with legal research, drafting pleadings, contracts, opinions, and other legal documents, and organizing case files and evidence. The role involves coordinating with clients for information and documentation, preparing briefs and notes for hearings, and attending client meetings and court proceedings as required. The Assistant Lawyer will help track deadlines, manage calendars, and ensure accurate, up-to-date records of ongoing matters. This position is designed for someone who is detail-oriented, committed to ethical practice, and eager to gain practical experience under close supervision. Qualifications Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and legal precedents. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, agreements, notices, and legal opinions. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with clients, courts, and other stakeholders.
