Position Title: Database Administration Practitioner Position Description:Provide mainframe IMS and Db2 Database Administration support to application development and maintenance teams, including application and database design, implementation, and maintenance, performance management, and problem resolution. Provide assistance to Data Administrators in the application database design. Maintain database availability and performance using database utilities. Provide 7x24x365 production support for database-related issues. Skills Required:Minimum of 6+ years working in IT 6+ years working on mainframe 2+ years IMS DBA experience 2+ Years IMS DC experience Experience with IMS utilities Experience with repartitioning of IMS databases Experience with HALDB Performance tuning DB2 and IMS debugging Skills Preferred:3+ years with DB2 DBA experience 3 years performing DB2 DBA application functions 3 years working with DB2 utilities (IBM, BMC, or CA) (reorg, image copy, etc) 1-2 years working with version 9-12 of mainframe DB2 software 1-2 years database design experience 1-2 years of tuning SQL Experience in mainframe application development using DB2 Working with DB2 in a Distributed setting Experience with Omegamon for DB2 Experience with BMC NGT utilities Experience with IDAA / IFL is a plus Experience with Agile development on the Mainframe Experience with Native SQL Stored procedures Experience with Java Stored procedures IBM utilities (IEBGENER, IEBCOPY, etc) CLIST, Dialog Manager, and REXX Websphere PureQuery DB2 Connect Experience with MQ.Series EJES Unicode Experience with parallel sysplex and data sharing Experience Required:5+ years of IT experience Education Required:B.E., B.Tech Education Preferred:Additional Safety Training/Licensing/Personal Protection Requirements:Additional Information :Mainframe IMS and DB2 Database Administrator. .
