Sr. POSTGRESQL DBA Job Title : Senior PostgreSQL Database Admin Experience : 7 + Years Location : Hyderabad, INDIA. OSI Digitalis looking for PostgreSQL Database Administrators with rich hands-on experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration. This role provides an excellent opportunity to improve and strengthen technical skills in production support, PostgreSQL high-availability technologies, database upgrades, migrations, cloud technologies, backup and recovery, replication, and performance tuning. Responsibilities - Work on installation, configuration, administration, and upgrading of PostgreSQL database servers and related products - Work with and mentor the team to support daily DBA tasks and handle client communication - Monitor PostgreSQL databases and troubleshoot database availability, performance, connectivity, and replication issues - Manage PostgreSQL backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability environments - Perform database patching, upgrades, migrations, and cloning activities - Document resolution steps after fixing issues and provide the required KT to peers. - Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 production support. Required Skills - Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL 16/17 Administration. - Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL High Availability and Streaming Replication - Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL backup and recovery using tools such as pg_dump, pg_restore, pg_basebackup, and WAL archiving. - Exposure to Database Upgrades and Migrations using ora2pg. - Hands-on troubleshooting skills. - Exposure to Performance tuning. - Experience with monitoring and alerting tools for PostgreSQL environments - Good to have skills on Redis, MariaDB, MySQL, Valkey, MongoDB We Are Not Looking For Someone Who Is - Not having support exposure to international customers - Not adaptable to work 24x7 rotational shifts .
