Job Description: Pre req should have worked at a plantshould be proficient in using excel and computer softwareshould be able to handle a minimum team of 5 people and have flexible working hours - be preferable if have experience at loading railway wagons A Head Supervisor for Logistics, or Lead Logistics Supervisor, oversees daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, transportation scheduling, and staff performance to ensure cost-effective, timely shipping and receiving. They lead personnel, enforce safety protocols (GMP/ISO), manage inventory systems, and optimize logistics workflows. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership: Supervise, train, and schedule logistics/warehouse staff, managing daily workload and performance. Shipping & Receiving Oversight: Coordinate inbound/outbound freight, approve loads, and oversee loading/unloading to ensure accuracy. Inventory & Logistics Management: Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconcile Transfer Sheets/PO receipts, and manage storage capacity. Carrier Coordination: Select carriers, negotiate rates, and track shipping metrics to reduce costs and improve delivery performance. Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety guidelines (e.g., OSHA, ISO) and company policies, ensuring compliant handling of materials. Continuous Improvement: Develop procedures, analyze data, and implement improvements to logistics workflows and warehouse housekeeping. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: 6+ years of supervisory experience in logistics, shipping, or warehouse environments. Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP/warehouse management software and MS Office Suite. Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience. Competencies: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
