Purpose of the Role To ensure efficient receipt, storage, preservation, inventory control, and issuance of all cereal raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM) required for uninterrupted production operations while maintaining quality, FIFO/FEFO compliance, inventory accuracy, hygiene standards, and cost control. The role is responsible for complete warehouse operations related to cereals, oats, muesli ingredients, nuts, seeds, additives, cartons, laminates, jars, pouches, labels, and consumables in accordance with food safety and company standards. Key Job Responsibilities 1. Raw Material (RM) Management Ensure proper receiving, unloading, verification, and storage of all cereal raw materials.Handle storage of:OatsRolled oatsCorn flakesMilletsWheat flakesRice crispsNuts & seedsDry fruitsCocoa powderProtein blendsSweetenersFood additivesVerify quantity, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, and supplier documents during inward process.Coordinate with QC team for RM sampling and approval before storage/use.Ensure rejected or hold materials are segregated properly with identification tags.Maintain proper stack height and palletization to avoid damage and contamination.Ensure FEFO/FIFO implementation for all food ingredients.Monitor storage conditions including temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and pest control.Prevent cross-contamination between allergen and non-allergen materials.Ensure physical stock matches ERP/system inventory. 2. Packaging Material (PM) Management Manage inward, storage, and issuance of all packaging materials including:Printed laminatesPouchesLabelsMono cartonsCorrugated boxesPET jarsCapsScoopsTapesShrink filmsBOPP rollsEnsure packaging materials are stored safely to avoid:DamageMoisture exposureMisprintingMixing of SKUsMaintain batch-wise traceability of packaging materials.Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of PM as per production planning.Ensure old artwork/obsolete PM is identified, blocked, and disposed of with approval.Control excess consumption and wastage of packaging materials.Maintain reconciliation records for issued vs consumed packaging materials. 3. Inventory Control & Stock Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/SAP/software system.Conduct:Daily stock verificationWeekly cycle countingMonthly physical stock auditsInvestigate stock variances and implement corrective actions.Maintain minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and near-expiry inventory.Generate daily stock status reports for management.Ensure zero negative inventory in system.Coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment planning. 4. Production Coordination Coordinate closely with:Production teamPlanning departmentProcurement teamQuality departmentEnsure timely issuance of RM & PM as per production schedule.Arrange materials line-wise and SKU-wise for smooth production operations.Avoid line stoppages due to material shortages.Maintain shift-wise dispatch and issuance records.Support urgent production changes and priority planning requirements. 5. Warehouse Operations Management Supervise complete warehouse activities including:Material inwardMaterial outwardStackingLoading/unloadingDispatch supportEnsure proper warehouse layout and space utilization.Implement warehouse identification systems:Bin locationsMaterial codingColor codingBatch traceabilityMaintain cleanliness and 5S standards inside warehouse.Ensure proper material handling equipment utilization:Hand pallet trucksForkliftsWeighing scalesEnsure all warehouse operations comply with food safety standards. 6. Food Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with:FSSAIGMPHACCPISO standardsInternal SOPsMaintain proper hygiene and sanitation inside RM & PM stores.Ensure pest control activities are conducted regularly.Prevent contamination, infestation, and material deterioration.Maintain traceability records for all inward and outward materials.Support internal and external audits.Maintain all warehouse documentation and records audit-ready. 7.
