Position: QC Inspector - Dimensional Dimensional inspection of castings and forgings against customer specifications and drawings in various stages of the casting process. To ensure the product dimensions meet customer requirements. Job Responsibilities Carry out dimensional inspection of castings as per drawings and specifications. Maintain measuring and test equipment with valid calibration status. Measure and accept castings as per ISO 8062 standards, customer requirements, or drawing specifications. Coordinate with concerned departments for corrective actions in case of dimensional deviations. Maintain dimensional inspection reports and related documentation. Follow up on dimensional corrections based on inspection reports when non-conformities are identified. Monitor the effectiveness of dimensional-related NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports). Ensure casting markings and lettering comply with customer drawings and specifications. Carry out visual inspection of castings and forgings on sample castings. Perform bulk casting/forging audit inspections related to dimensional inspection. Develop or assist the QC Engineer in developing dimensional inspection standards. Job Requirements 1. Education ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar qualification preferred. 2. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection. Experience in the steel casting/forging industry is mandatory. Experience in CMM inspection and programming is preferred. 3. Certifications ASNT Level II certification in Visual Inspection (VT) is mandatory. ASNT Level II certification in MT/PT inspection is preferred. 4. Technical Skills Proficiency in operating inspection equipment and understanding quality standards. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Ability to interpret ISO, ASME, and ASTM standards related to dimensional and visual inspection. Knowledge of moulding and core assembly is mandatory. 5. Other Skills Good knowledge of MS Office. Safety and quality-focused mindset.
