About the Role VTK Industries is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager HR to manage and strengthen HR operations in a manufacturing environment. The role requires strong exposure to plant HR, employee relations, labour-law compliance, manpower planning, recruitment, performance management and HR operations. Key Responsibilities - Lead day-to-day HR operations for the manufacturing/plant location. - Develop and execute manpower plans in coordination with production and functional heads. - Manage recruitment for operators, technicians, supervisors, executives and other plant positions. - Ensure smooth onboarding, induction and deployment of recent employees. - Manage attendance, leave, shift systems and payroll coordination. - Review payroll inputs and coordinate with payroll teams for accurate and timely salary processing. - Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and employee relations. - Manage workmen-related HR activities and maintain positive industrial relations. - Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements. - Oversee PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, Contract Labour and other statutory compliances applicable to the organisation. - Coordinate with contractors and monitor contract manpower documentation and compliance. - Support performance appraisal, confirmation, promotion and transfer processes. - Identify training requirements and coordinate training and development programs. - Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives. - Prepare and analyse HR MIS, manpower reports, absenteeism, attrition and recruitment metrics. - Support HR audits, statutory inspections and internal compliance reviews. - Implement HR policies, SOPs and processes across the manufacturing facility. - Partner with plant leadership to resolve workforce and people-related issues. - Contribute to improving productivity, discipline, employee satisfaction and overall HR effectiveness.
