Your job is to generate new business from leads shared with you, respond to enquiries from B2B customers (Quotations) and nurture existing customer relationships to generate repeat business. You must either already know or be able to learn the road transportation business with trailers and trucks very quickly. You will have to deal with customers, brokers, fleet owners etc. to obtain the best transportation rates from the market and based on those rates, quote and negotiate with customers for FTL loads. You will need to ensure the best possible margins and grow PBL's business multifold in the area / region assigned to you. The work will need you to visit customers and conduct surveys of goods to be moved as well as routes etc. - you should be prepared to do extensive field work for these purposes. While there will be Traffic Executives to support you in ensuring prompt and proper delivery of the goods as per the customer's terms, the ultimate responsibility to ensure customer and vendor satisfaction for your customers and vendors lies with you. For this reason, you must always be in touch with various customers and vendors, provide inputs and feedback regarding their contracts and build long-term relationships. Our company uses technology a lot and is a nearly paperless organization, and for you to be able to complete your work effectively, you will need to use computers, mobile phones and tabs, so you should be capable of operating effectively with these devices on a daily basis. Every activity of yours will need to be captured by our ERP and other systems.
