Position OverviewWe are seeking motivated and detail-focused US Tax Associates at the entry level to join our expanding US Tax division. This role offers recent graduates practical exposure to federal and state tax compliance and the opportunity to develop a solid understanding of US tax systems under the guidance of experienced tax experts. Key ResponsibilitiesSupport preparation of US Federal and State tax returns for various entities including individuals, partnerships, and corporations.Gather, organize, and review relevant client financial data and documentation needed for tax purposes.Prepare detailed workpapers ensuring accurate documentation for all tax submissions.Conduct fundamental tax research and apply US taxation standards with supervision.Utilize tax preparation software and internal tools precisely.Adhere to assigned deadlines maintaining the firms quality benchmarks.Collaborate closely with colleagues to resolve data inconsistencies and address client inquiries.Adapt and be open to learning in a deadline-intensive work setting.Align work hours to cater to US time zones, including availability during late evenings and weekends in India, to facilitate global client service.Demonstrate flexibility to extend work hours, particularly during peak periods, ensuring seamless cooperation with US teams and timely client deliverables.Required QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.Basic familiarity with US taxation principles, either academic or through dedicated training.Strong analytical capabilities along with meticulous attention to detail.Competency in MS Excel and fundamental accounting knowledge.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Preferred QualificationsProgress towards obtaining EA or CPA certification is advantageous.What We ProvideWell-structured training and mentorship focused on US taxation.Practical experience through active involvement in US tax compliance projects.Robust opportunities for learning and professional advancement.A cooperative, professional organizational environment that nurtures growth.
