Role Description Addiction Pet Foods is looking for an experienced Order Management & Logistics Manager who can do more than run existing processes - we need someone who can improve, redesign, and automate them. This role will lead our end-to-end order management and logistics operations, covering the order lifecycle from order entry through shipment and final delivery across multiple international markets. A major priority of the role is to assess our current order management workflows, identify bottlenecks and manual processes, and build or improve critical parts of the order-to-delivery process using technology, automation, standardization, and better data visibility. We are looking for someone with proven hands-on experience improving order management processes - whether through ERP workflow improvements, SAP automation, EDI, system integrations, automated controls, dashboards, or redesigned operational processes. You should be equally comfortable managing day-to-day order execution and leading process transformation. What You'll Do: Lead End-to-End Order Management: Own the order management and logistics lifecycle from order entry through final delivery. Ensure orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and within customer and business commitments. Maintain visibility over order status, shipment progress, logistics performance, landed costs, and operational issues. Establish and maintain clear SOPs, controls, and service standards. Monitor key measures such as order-to-ship cycle time, documentation accuracy, and perfect order fulfillment. Improve & Automate Order Management Processes: Assess existing order management workflows and identify bottlenecks, duplicated work, manual touchpoints, control gaps, and opportunities for automation. Take ownership of improving critical parts of the order-to-delivery / order-to-cash workflow. Redesign processes to improve speed, accuracy, visibility, scalability, and customer service. Transform manual activities into automated or system-driven workflows, where practical. Drive improvements involving areas such as: Order entry and validation. Order acknowledgements. Approval workflows. Order status tracking. Exception management. Shipment coordination. Documentation. Customer updates. Freight audit. Reporting and KPI visibility. Lead or support SAP workflow improvements, EDI integration, API/system integration, and connectivity with logistics or 3PL platforms. Build dashboards and automated reporting to provide management with better operational visibility. Measure improvements through reduced processing time, fewer errors, fewer manual steps, improved service levels, and higher order accuracy. Manage Global Logistics & Export Execution: Oversee export documentation including Health Certificates, Certificates of Origin, Customs Declarations, and other market-specific requirements. Ensure compliance with applicable export requirements, including NZ MPI protocols and destination-country import requirements. Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, customers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders. Monitor shipment execution and resolve issues that could affect delivery or customer commitments. Manage carrier and freight-forwarder relationships and support freight cost and service optimization. Personally manage assigned export orders when required. Lead the Team & Cross-Functional Workflow: Lead and develop the Order Management & Logistics team. Establish clear accountabilities, operating standards, KPIs, and performance expectations. Work closely with Sales, Finance, Warehouse, Fulfillment, Supply Chain, customers, and logistics partners. Resolve cross-functional issues that affect order execution and customer service. Build stronger working processes between teams rather than allowing issues to be managed through repeated manual follow-ups. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, Operations, or a related discipline. SAP, export logistics, trade compliance, Lean Six Sigma, process improvement, or related certifications are an advantage. Requirements 5-7+ years of experience in Order Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a closely related field. At least 3 years of leadership or management experience. Strong end-to-end understanding of order management and order-to-delivery .
