DescriptionPosition Overview: The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be a critical member of the accounting team. This individual will be heavily involved in the monthly financial statement close process , procurement , travel and expense management , annual audit s (both U.S. and international statutory audits) , and company adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and controls. The role is cross-functional and will have significant interaction with other departments like Legal, Human Resources, and FP&A . The role will be flexible, which is indicative of the entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit of Quickbase where you interact with cross-functional teams across the organization. Functional Responsibilities: Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries to NetSuite GL and monthly balance sheet reconciliationsAssist with daily cash reporting, monthly journal entries and bank reconciliationsPrepare and maintain prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intangible assets and depreciation/amortization schedulesAssist with monthly close process , including financial analysis and financial reporting . Provide commentary on balance sheet and P&L fluxes as to activity that occurred during the periodSupport annual audits with external auditors both domestic and internationalAssist with design and maintenance of company policies, procedures and controlsAd hoc projects as required by the Assistant Controller and/or Corporate ControllerMinimum Qualifications: Advanced d egree in Accounting required , chartered accountant preferredWorking knowledge of U.S. GAAP1 - 3 years of relevant industry accounting experience, any internship in the accounting field would countDemonstrated ability to consistently work within fixed timeframes and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills and desire to work cross-functionally to achieve common goalsAttention to detail and ability to produce accurate, timely work productProficiency in ExcelCore Competencies: Strong communication skills and desire to work cross-functionally to achieve common goalsCollaborative team player with high standards and ethicsAbility to prioritize, multi-task and manage several tasks simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to consistently work within fixed timeframes and meet deadlines without sacrificing qualityEnthusiastic about thinking outside of the box and influencing changeRole: Finance & Accounting - Other Industry Type: IT Services & Consulting Department: Finance & Accounting Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent Role Category: Finance & Accounting - Other Education UG: Any Graduate PG: CA in CA .
