Senior UK Accounting Professional

Job Type: Full-time Experience: 5+ years Location: Ahmedabad, Noida, Mumbai Work Mode: Work from Office Industry: Finance & Accounting Joining: Immediate / Short Notice Preferred Job Overview We are looking for an experienced UK Accounting professional to join a finance and accounting team supporting UK-based clients. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in UK accounting practices, statutory accounts and UK tax compliance, along with the ability to independently handle assignments and review the work of junior team members. This position is suitable for professionals who have worked with UK accounting firms, outsourcing/KPO environments or UK-focused finance teams. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review UK year-end and statutory accounts.Handle UK accounting and bookkeeping assignments.Work on Corporation Tax, Personal Tax, VAT and PAYE-related activities.Ensure accounting and tax work complies with applicable UK requirements.Review financial information and identify discrepancies or areas requiring attention.Support Companies House filings and other statutory compliance requirements.Communicate with UK clients regarding accounting and tax-related queries.Review the work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance where required.Manage multiple assignments while meeting agreed deadlines and quality standards.Maintain proper documentation and ensure accuracy across client deliverables.Required Skills & Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant UK Accounting / UK Practice experience.Strong understanding of UK accounting and statutory reporting.Good knowledge of UK GAAP and UK tax compliance.Familiarity with HMRC, Companies House and Making Tax Digital (MTD).Practical exposure to VAT, PAYE and UK tax processes.Experience handling or reviewing client accounts.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.Education ACCA / ACA qualified or part-qualified candidates are preferred, although relevant UK Accounting experience will also be considered.
