Business Analyst Property & Casualty Insurance (Advanced SQL) Job Title: Business Analyst Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Location: India (Hybrid/Remote) Experience: 5-10 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview Coforge is seeking for a Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain expertise and advanced SQL skills to bridge business requirements and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, underwriting, claims, policy administration, and technical teams to analyze business needs, gather requirements, perform data analysis, and support strategic initiatives across the insurance value chain. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.Conduct requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process walkthroughs.Translate business requirements into Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.Analyze end-to-end P&C insurance processes including:Policy AdministrationUnderwritingClaims ManagementBilling & CollectionsRenewals and EndorsementsPerform data analysis using advanced SQL queries to identify trends, validate business rules, reconcile data, and support decision-making.Prepare process flows, use cases, workflow diagrams, and gap analysis documents.Collaborate with development, QA, data engineering, and business teams throughout the SDLC.Support UAT planning, test scenario creation, defect triage, and production validation.Create dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics to improve operational efficiency.Conduct impact analysis for system enhancements and regulatory changes.Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with business rules.Required Skills Property & Casualty Domain Expertise Strong understanding of P&C insurance operations.Experience working in one or more functional areas:Policy AdministrationUnderwritingClaimsBillingRating & PricingReinsuranceKnowledge of insurance lifecycle and policy transactions.Understanding of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements.Business Analysis Skills Requirement gathering and analysis.BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases.Process Mapping and Gap Analysis.Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.Stakeholder Management.Advanced SQL Skills (Mandatory) Complex joins and subqueries.CTEs (Common Table Expressions).Window Functions.Stored Procedures.Query Optimization and Performance Tuning.Data Validation and Reconciliation.Data Profiling and Root Cause Analysis.Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
