QA & Testing Senior Analyst

Job Title: QA & Testing Senior Analyst [ETL Tester] Location: Bangalore Role Summary: Reporting to the QA Manager, the QA & Testing Senior Analyst is responsible for the timely planning, execution, and reporting of Quality Assurance testing activities for new and enhanced data and analytics solutions. This role focuses on ensuring data quality, reliability, and fitness for purpose across ETL pipelines, databases, and downstream analytics platforms. The role partners closely with Scrum teams, product owners, data engineers, and business stakeholders to embed quality-first principles throughout the delivery lifecycle, primarily within a SAFe Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: Own and deliver QA targets for assigned projects, ensuring quality outcomes are metDevelop deep product and data understanding and create effective test designsExecute test cases and log, track, and manage defectsDefine test priorities and create efficient execution plansParticipate in defect triage sessions and root cause analysisActively participate in PI planning, sprint planning, and Agile ceremoniesTrack and report test progress against agreed plansContribute to sprint retrospectives and continuous improvement initiativesApply appropriate test techniques, methodologies, and tools to maximise test coverageMentor and support junior QA team membersAdhere to Quality Engineering best practices and actively drive efficiency improvementsRequired Skills and Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience58 years experience in Software QA with strong focus on ETL and data testingProven experience validating ETL extraction, transformation, and load processesStrong SQL skills, including stored procedures and backend testingExperience testing across multiple database typesHands-on experience with ETL testing toolsTest automation experience using code, preferably PythonStrong understanding of the full test lifecycleExperience using Microsoft SQL Server toolsKnowledge of healthcare insurance industryStrong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery modelsExperience with automated testing and modelling toolsStrong change management and test design skillsQuality metrics, dashboards, and release readiness reportingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently or lead within a teamHigh attention to detail and accuracyCommitment to continuous personal developmentDesirable Skills and Experience: ISTQB Foundation or Intermediate certificationDatabase and API testing experienceCloud Platforms: Hands-on testing experience in (AWS / Microsoft Azure)Ownership of data quality strategy and test approach across analytics platformsTest automation using PythonETL tools such as SSISRelational database expertise using SQL (or PostgreSQL, DBeaver)Web technologies (Java, HTML)Salesforce and Vlocity experienceSelenium or UFT experienceAbout The Cigna Group Cigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, is an advocate for better health through every stage of life.
