The Opportunity We are seeking a Cybersecurity Platform Engineer to build and scale the infrastructure that powers global cybersecurity training delivery across enterprise and academic environments under CyberEd.io . This role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and technical enablement. You will be responsible for creating and transforming training content into scalable, cloud-native environments and ensuring seamless delivery across global audiences. What You'll Do Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering: Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) Develop and optimize containerized environments (Docker, Docker Compose) Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) Ensure platform reliability, security, and cost efficiency Training Environment & Lab Development: Build hands-on cybersecurity labs using Docker and AWS (AMIs, EC2) Convert existing training environments into scalable, cloud-deployable formats Standardize lab architectures for reuse across clients and programs Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop technical & executive training environments Content Enablement & AI Transformation: Translate curriculum and enterprise training content into hands-on lab experiences Work with academic partners to align labs with learning objectives Operationalize enterprise training content for platform-based delivery Leverage AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) to accelerate development workflows Enhance prototyping, automation, and system design through AI implementation Global Training Delivery Support: Contribute to platform demonstrations and explain cybersecurity concepts clearly Support delivery of training programs for enterprise and academic clients Deploy and manage environments across regions and time zones Provide real-time troubleshooting and technical support during live trainings Ensure high availability and performance at scale What You Bring to the Table 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud engineering, or DevSecOps Hands-on experience with: AWS (EC2, AMIs, networking, IAM), Terraform or similar IaC tools, Docker / Docker Compose, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub preferred), AI and Agentic Workflow tools Strong understanding of networking, systems, and security fundamentals Experience working with technical environments or lab-based systems Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field(s) Preferred: Cybersecurity certifications (e.g. AWS, CKAD, CISSP, OSCP, GCIH) Familiarity with Kubernetes, Zero Trust, or offensive security concepts Experience building or contributing to cybersecurity training programs or technical lab environments Experience working with enterprise clients or academic institutions Why Join CyberEd.io Youll play a key role in building the infrastructure backbone that powers next-generation of cybersecurity training, supporting global enterprises and leading academic institutions, while working at the forefront of cloud, security, and AI-driven development. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
