About The Role We are looking for a Data Collection Analyst to support the collection, validation, analysis, and organization of financial and operational data from publicly available company information. The role involves reviewing quarterly reports, annual reports, earnings releases, investor presentations, company filings, and other relevant sources to identify and capture financial statements, operational drivers, business metrics, notes to financial statements, and other company-specific information. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting and finance, strong attention to detail, good Excel skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. What You'll Do Data Acquisition & SourcingCollect financial and operational information from company quarterly reports, annual reports, earnings releases, investor presentations, regulatory filings, and other publicly available sources.Extract financial statement information, including:Income StatementBalance SheetCash Flow StatementSegment informationKey financial metricsCollect operational and business drivers such as volumes, production, sales, subscribers, customers, utilization, capacity, store/network expansion, and other relevant company-specific metrics.Review notes to financial statements to identify additional financial, operational, and business information.Identify and capture company-specific disclosures, KPIs, management commentary, and other relevant information.Ensure the source and period of each data point are accurately recorded. Data Cleaning & ValidationReview collected data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and logical integrity.Validate information against the original company source documents.Identify discrepancies, missing information, unusual movements, and inconsistencies in reported data.Standardize data formats, units, currencies, periods, and terminology where required.Perform cross-checks between financial statements, notes, presentations, and other company disclosures. Statistical Analysis & Trend IdentificationAnalyze historical financial and operational data to identify trends and significant movements.Perform basic calculations such as YoY, QoQ, growth rates, margins, ratios, and variance analysis.Identify unusual changes or trends that may require further review.Support the preparation of historical datasets for financial and business analysis. Data Quality ManagementFollow established data collection, validation, and quality-control procedures.Maintain high standards of accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.Participate in quality checks and peer reviews.Document data sources and assumptions where necessary.Continuously identify opportunities to improve data collection and validation processes. Qualifications B. Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.Fresh graduates with 01 years of experience are encouraged to apply.Good understanding of Accounting and Finance concepts.Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Ability to read and understand financial statements and company reports.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to identify trends and inconsistencies in data.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and processes.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Attributes Basic understanding of financial statements and financial reporting.Familiarity with annual reports, quarterly results, investor presentations, or regulatory filings.Strong research and information-gathering skills.Comfortable working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data.High level of attention to detail and commitment to data quality. Key Performance Expectations Accurate and timely completion of assigned data collection activities.High level of data accuracy and validation.Consistent adherence to defined data quality .
