Data Visualization: Develop visually compelling and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI. Choose appropriate visualizations to effectively communicate insights. DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) Coding: Write complex DAX formulas to create calculated columns, measures, and calculated tables. Perform data analysis and manipulation using DAX functions. Data Integration: Integrate Power BI with various data sources, databases, and other data platforms. Implement data refresh and ensure up-to-date information in Power BI reports. Data Cleansing and Transformation: Cleanse and transform data as needed for reporting purposes. Handle data cleansing, normalization, and enrichment to ensure data quality. Power Query Development: Utilize Power Query to shape and transform data before loading it into Power BI. Create custom queries and expressions to meet specific data requirements. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and dashboards. Optimize data models, queries, and visualizations for better performance. Security Configuration: Implement security measures in Power BI, including role-level security (RLS) and row-level security. Ensure compliance with data security policies and regulations. Integration with Other Systems: Integrate Power BI with other Microsoft products and third-party applications. Ensure seamless data flow between Power BI and connected systems. Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts and automate repetitive tasks within Power BI. Implement scheduled data refreshes and updates. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models. Document best practices, data sources, and any custom code. Testing: Conduct unit testing to validate the accuracy and functionality of Power BI reports. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to perform system and integration testing. Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve issues related to Power BI development and report generation. Provide support to end-users and address inquiries related to Power BI functionality.
