This role is ideal for someone who can go beyond bookkeeping bringing financial clarity, process discipline, and business insights while partnering directly with founders and leadership. The Opportunity We are looking for a CPA-level Senior Accountant with strong expertise in US Accounting, GAAP, IRS compliance, tax planning, and cash flow forecasting. You will play a key role in improving financial visibility, ensuring accurate reporting, and building scalable accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Review, clean up, and strengthen existing accounting records Ensure GAAP-compliant bookkeeping and financial reporting Manage month-end and year-end closing activities Prepare and maintain accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports Support US tax preparation and tax planning initiatives Ensure compliance with IRS requirements and accounting standards Partner with external accountants, tax advisors, and regulatory stakeholders Improve accounting workflows, controls, and automation processes Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and business performance insights Drive cash flow planning and financial visibility for leadership What Were Looking For CPA designation is mandatory Illinois (IL) and/or Connecticut (CT) CPA registration highly preferred 5+ years of experience in US accounting roles Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting Hands-on understanding of IRS regulations and compliance Experience with Quick Books and/or Houzz Pro preferred Strong written and verbal English communication skills Ability to work independently and collaborate directly with founders & leadership teams Experience with cash flow forecasting and financial planning Why This Role High ownership role with direct leadership exposure Opportunity to build and improve finance operations Work with a growing US-based organization Strategic accounting role beyond routine bookkeeping .
