About the Role This is a business-generation and sales-closure role. We are not looking for someone who only generates leads or schedules meetings. We need someone who can independently take a prospect through the complete sales cycle: Prospecting Lead Generation Qualification Discovery Requirement Understanding Proposal Negotiation Closing Your primary objective will be to bring new software development projects to ResearchSoft and convert them into paying clients. You will work closely with the founders and technical team to identify opportunities, understand client requirements, prepare proposals, and close deals. Key Responsibilities Identify and generate new business opportunities for ResearchSoft.Proactively find potential clients through:LinkedIn Cold email Cold calling Networking Referrals Online platforms Industry communities Other outbound sales channels Identify companies looking for software development and AI solutions.Connect with founders, business owners, CTOs, CIOs, product managers, and other decision-makers.Understand client business requirements and identify suitable technology solutions.Sell ResearchSoft's services across:Web application development Mobile application development AI / Generative AI SaaS development Custom software development Full-stack development API & backend development Cloud solutions Dedicated development teams Conduct discovery calls and client meetings.Understand the client's business problem, technical requirements, budget, and timeline.Prepare and present commercial proposals.Handle pricing and commercial negotiations.Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales cycle.Maintain a healthy and qualified sales pipeline.Track opportunities, proposals, follow-ups, and expected closures.Personally drive opportunities toward closure.Close software development projects and convert prospects into paying clients.Build long-term relationships with clients.Identify opportunities for repeat business, upselling, and referrals.Work with founders and technical leadership on strategic and high-value opportunities.Must-Have Requirements 1. Startup Experience Important You must have experience working in a startup, small software company, or growing IT services company. You should understand how business development works when competing against larger and more established software companies. You should be comfortable working in an environment where: Brand recognition may be limited.You need to proactively find clients.You cannot depend entirely on inbound leads.Sales cycles can require persistence and multiple follow-ups.You need to build trust with clients.You are responsible for your own pipeline.Results matter more than activity.2. Software / IT Sales Experience You should have experience selling software development or IT services. Relevant experience includes: Web development projectsMobile application developmentAI / Generative AI solutionsSaaS developmentCustom software developmentEnterprise applicationsDedicated development teamsIT consultingCloud/software solutions3. Proven Deal-Closing Experience This is the most important requirement. We are looking for someone who has personally closed software development projects. You should be able to demonstrate: Clients you personally acquiredProjects you personally closedApproximate project valuesSales targets achievedConversion/closure experienceMarkets you have sold intoHow you generated your opportunitiesLead generation or appointment-setting experience alone is not sufficient.
