Civil Foreman

Position Title: Civil Foreman Department: Construction / Civil Engineering Reports To: Site Engineer / Project Manager Job Summary The Civil Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating civil construction activities on-site. The role involves managing labor, monitoring work progress, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements, and coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and project management teams to achieve project objectives. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily civil construction activities, including excavation, concreting, masonry, reinforcement, formwork, and finishing works. Allocate tasks and monitor the performance of workers and subcontractors. Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Coordinate with Site Engineers, Surveyors, and Project Managers regarding site activities. Monitor material usage and ensure availability of required construction materials. Conduct daily site inspections to maintain quality standards. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain site records, daily progress reports, and manpower attendance. Identify and resolve site-related issues and report major concerns to management. Verify measurements and quantities of completed work. Ensure proper use and maintenance of construction tools, equipment, and machinery. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on work progress. Required Qualifications Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred). Minimum 2-7 years of experience as a Civil Foreman in construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with quality control procedures and project scheduling.
