Location: Bengaluru, India Role Description The Company is seeking an Engineering Manager who combines Engineering Management with systems architecture and design thinking. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the architecture, design, development, and deployment of the enterprise software application in a startup enterprise. You will help build our core cloud platform, enterprise application integration, and mobile experience. This involves ingesting complex datasets, normalizing structured and unstructured data, and implementing proprietary algorithms designed for predictive modeling and optimization. You will work closely with the core business team to translate the business vision into highly scalable, production-ready code, ensuring our systems can efficiently handle large-scale enterprise customer needs in real time. The Ideal Hybrid Skillset: This role requires a unique combination of a rigorous engineering mindset and software implementation across multiple database models, including relational, graph, and NoSQL. We are looking for candidates who seamlessly combine multiple disciplines for modern software organizationsideal candidates must have started their careers as technical contributors, delivering software code for enterprise applications, and aspire to grow on the technology management ladder. Engineering Expertise (6+ years): Proven experience developing high-performance, scalable applications, using modern AI-native engineering practices. Strong proficiency in backend and front-end engineering is highly preferred, with a demonstrated ability to efficiently manage large datasets in production.Domain: Enterprise (B2B) Software, AI/ML/Data Science/Analytics, etc. Efficient Use of AI Products: Skilled in using AI tools such as Claude Code and GPT for development, code generation, and reducing development turnaround. Good understanding of the human-in-the-loop approach to build and operate robust enterprise applications, using modern architectural constructs such as microservices, agentic-AI platforms, etc. Cloud Deployment Management: Solid foundation in development-staging-production environments, release management, and evaluation practices. Problem-Solving Focus: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to approach challenging situations hands-on, triage, identify patterns, and deliver solutions with short- and long-term perspectives. Must be capable of contributing code to the product or fixing a defect, but most often does high-quality reviews that engineers value. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in information sciences/data science/AI/ML, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field, or computer science/ IT. Nice to Have Prior experience or domain knowledge in supply chain management, procurement data analytics, or manufacturing (e.g., working with Bill of Materials, component sourcing, or data excellence projects in electronics manufacturing enterprises). Experience building data ingestion pipelines that interface with commercial portals, B2B API development, and diverse external data sources. Familiarity with cloud-native data architecture and distributed computing environments. Experience/familiarity with emerging, highly efficient enterprise AI infrastructure alternatives in open source. Experience/familiarity with the Algorand Blockchain Development environment. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
