Our collaborative, innovative, and inclusive workplace values your ideas and supports your growth. ### Your Role at a Glance As a Critical Facilities Operations and Maintenance Engineer (Specialist - Data Center Operations), you'll be a seasoned subject matter expert responsible for working with major systems like electrical and HVAC, performing regular maintenance, and designing, planning, installing, or maintaining mechanical, electrical, and other infrastructure in mission-critical, high-risk data center environments. ### What We Are Looking For You'll design, plan, install, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in high-reliability environments such as data centers or utilities. Your day-to-day includes: - Working with all major facility systems (electrical, HVAC) and performing regular maintenance. - Ensuring a proficient understanding of sensitive facility components that could be impacted by failures or malfunctions. - Analyzing current operating conditions and recommending new preventative and proactive methods for maintenance and monitoring. - Evaluating facility standards to improve maintenance procedures and ensure optimal operational efficiency. - Complying with organizational and governmental safety standards, coordinating emergency response, and ensuring corrective measures are thorough. - Participating in planning and installation of new facility systems, including HVAC, cooling systems, CRAC/CRAH units, power distribution units, fire systems, and life safety systems. - Repairing systems, monitoring, and troubleshooting as problems arise. - Coordinating with building administration to ensure common area services are properly provided. - Managing feedback, response, and corrective action processes for client concerns. - Assisting in ensuring facility assets are accounted for and monitored per policies. - Completing work orders accurately and on time within budget, possibly ordering parts and supplies. - Scheduling and supervising vendors/subcontractors during equipment maintenance. - Recommending improvements to the operations and maintenance program. - Performing any other engineering activities as required. ### Knowledge and Attributes You should have a seasoned understanding of safe work practices per regulations, and proficiency with sensitive facility components. You need seasoned knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), CMMS systems, critical facilities operations and maintenance, and mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring/control systems typical in critical environments. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are essential, along with analytical ability to refine, summarize, and present data. You should be self-motivated, proactive, service-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks, prioritize under tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. ### Academic Qualifications and Certifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field. - Trade Certification or state license in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC). - Professional affiliations (e.g., 7x24 Exchange, IFMA, Data Center Pulse). ### Experience Required - Seasoned experience working in a similar engineering role, preferably in a data center environment. - Seasoned experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical engineering and maintenance fields. - Seasoned experience interpreting blueprints/CAD drawings. - Seasoned experience in facilities/building maintenance. - Seasoned experience in designing, planning, installing, and/or maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure in mission-critical environments. ### Who We Are As the third largest data center provider, NTT Global Data Centers operates over 150 data centers in more than 20 countries.
