Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Data Security / Cyber Security Varonis Specialist to strengthen and enhance the organization's data security framework. The role will focus on leveraging Varonis Hybrid along with Managed Detection and Response (MDR) capabilities to identify, classify, protect, and monitor sensitive and critical data across the enterprise environment. The candidate will be responsible for improving data visibility, reducing unnecessary data exposure, strengthening access controls, and enabling and fine-tuning Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access or exfiltration. Key Responsibilities: - Work with the existing Varonis Hybrid environment and enhance data security capabilities. - Identify and classify sensitive, critical, and business-relevant data across the environment. - Analyse where sensitive and critical data resides across enterprise systems and environments. - Organize and improve the management of sensitive and critical data. - Identify and support remediation of redundant, outdated, or improperly stored data. - Assess data access permissions and identify unnecessary or excessive access. - Strengthen access controls to reduce unauthorized access and unnecessary data exposure. - Monitor data activity and identify potential security risks and unauthorized access. - Enable, configure, and fine-tune Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities. - Develop and implement appropriate controls to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access or exfiltration. - Work with Managed Detection and Response (MDR) capabilities to strengthen monitoring and response for data security incidents. - Support continuous improvement of the organization's data security framework. - Identify gaps in data protection and recommend appropriate security controls and remediation measures. - Collaborate with relevant security and technology teams to implement data security initiatives. - Ensure sensitive data is adequately protected, monitored, and governed across the environment. Required Skills & Experience: - 10-14 years of experience in Data Security, Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related domain. - Strong hands-on experience with Varonis. - Experience working with Varonis Hybrid environments. - Strong understanding of Data Security and data protection principles. - Experience in identifying and classifying sensitive and critical data. - Strong understanding of data access controls and data exposure management. - Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities. - Experience in monitoring and protecting sensitive data against unauthorized access and exfiltration. - Understanding of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) capabilities. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to identify data security gaps and recommend appropriate remediation. - Strong collaboration and communication skills.
