Intellemo.ai is building next-gen agentic video generation platform. We are now hiring a hands-on Python Backend Developer to work on the core backend systems behind our AI marketing and video products. About the RoleThis is not a role for someone who only wants to write fresh code from scratch. We need someone who can read an existing backend codebase, understand how things work, debug issues, and make practical engineering decisions. In the age of AI coding tools, writing code is becoming easier. Reading code, understanding tradeoffs, and deciding what should actually change is becoming more valuable. You will work directly with the founder on backend systems involving FastAPI, MongoDB, GCP, API integrations, AI workflows, and media processing pipelines. What You Will Work On - Build and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI - Work with MongoDB data models, queries, and backend logic - Build and consume REST APIs - Integrate with external platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other marketing APIs - Connect with AI/ML APIs for automation and agentic workflows - Work on internal AI workflow systems for marketing automation - Build and improve media processing pipelines for image and video generation - Work with tools such as FFmpeg, ImageMagick, Wand, or similar libraries - Debug production issues across APIs, background jobs, and data flows - Improve existing backend architecture without unnecessary rewrites - Collaborate with frontend/product teams to ship reliable features - Use AI coding tools responsibly to speed up development, while still reviewing and understanding the code Core Skills Required - Robust Python fundamentals - Hands-on experience with FastAPI - Experience working with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases - Ability to build and debug REST APIs - Ability to read and understand an existing codebase - Good understanding of backend architecture and data flow - Comfort with async workflows, background jobs, or long-running processes - Ability to write clean, maintainable code - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills - Ability to make practical tradeoffs instead of overengineering Good to Have - Experience with GCP - Experience with media pipelines, video processing, audio processing, or image rendering - Experience with FFmpeg, ImageMagick, Wand, OpenCV, or similar tools - Experience integrating with marketing APIs such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or Pinterest - Familiarity with GraphQL or API gateways - Familiarity with LangChain, CrewAI, LangGraph, MCP, or similar AI/agentic frameworks - Experience with web scraping or data extraction using BeautifulSoup, Playwright, or similar tools - Experience using Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or other AI coding tools responsibly What We Care About MostWe care less about the exact number of years on your resume and more about whether you can think clearly through backend problems. A strong candidate should be able to: - Open an unfamiliar codebase and understand it - Identify what is fragile, slow, or hard to maintain - Decide whether something needs a quick fix or deeper refactor - Debug issues without randomly changing code - Use AI-generated code carefully instead of trusting it blindly - Explain technical decisions clearly - Ship practical improvements without breaking production Not a Good Fit If - You only want to work on new code from scratch - You cannot read and reason through existing code - You depend on AI tools to write code you do not understand - You prefer theory over shipping - You want a narrow backend role with no product context - You are uncomfortable working in a fast-moving startup workplace Experience1-3 years of backend development experience preferred. Strong candidates with less formal experience but strong demonstrated backend work are welcome. A computer science degree is not mandatory. Real backend ability matters more. What We Offer - Direct work with the founder on core backend and product systems - High ownership from day one - Exposure to AI, marketing automation, and media generation workflows - Opportunity to work on real production systems, not toy projects - Fast learning curve across backend, AI workflows, APIs, and media pipelines - Competitive salary in the range of 6-8 LPA - ESOP option post probation, based on performance and fit LocationGurgaon, Haryana. This is a full-time, in-office role. - We are not hiring for remote or work-from-home for this position. The role requires close collaboration, faster iteration, and direct product-building with the core team. .

That number includes positions in India (9,577), Poland (3,429), the United States (1,753), Singapore (787), and Brazil (779). If you're looking to move or work remotely, check which countries match your goals — then filter WorkMundi by location to see what's actually hiring near you.
Most developer ads you'll see are written in English: 18,397 of the 24,795. That doesn't tell you whether the job itself requires you to speak English or work in English daily, so read each posting carefully. Don't assume the language of the ad matches the language of the team.
The employers posting the most developer roles are Link Group (369 jobs), Upvanta (257), jobgether (226), and OfferZen (212). If you're applying to any of these, research their hiring patterns. They move fast and post often, which means they're either scaling hard or replacing people who didn't fit.
In your interview, expect this: 'Walk me through the last time you had to debug something that took you more than an hour. What was it, what did you try first, and what would you do differently?' Hiring managers ask this to see if you think systematically or just try random fixes. Have a real example ready with specifics.
