The DevOps Platform Engineering team is responsible for building, operating, and evolving the engineering platforms, developer workflows, and self-service capabilities that enable engineering teams across MSCI to deliver software securely, reliably, and at scale. As part of the MSCI Core DevOops Engineering team, you will help define and evolve the future of software delivery and developer enablement across the organization. This includes ownership of CI/CD platforms, engineering workflows, cloud-native platforms, internal developer tooling, and self-service capabilities built on technologies such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Backstage. The team defines and maintains engineering standards, golden paths, reusable workflows, platform abstractions, and governance models that product and engineering teams adopt to accelerate delivery while maintaining consistency, security, compliance, and operational excellence. This team operates as a software engineering organization focused on platform capabilities and developer experience - building internal products, APIs, automation, and integrations that shape how engineering teams build, deploy, operate, and support software across MSCI. Lead the design and evolution of MSCIs internal developer platform and engineering workflow ecosystem. Architect and implement reusable CI/CD frameworks, GitHub Actions workflows, shared libraries, templates, and platform abstractions that standardize software delivery across the organization. Drive enterprise DevOps and SDLC standardization initiatives, including source control governance, branching strategies, deployment models, security controls, and engineering best practices. Design and build internal platform capabilities, APIs, automation services, and integrations across GitHub, Azure DevOps, Backstage, cloud services, and internal systems. Drive developer enablement through self-service platform capabilities, reusable tooling, automated onboarding workflows, and developer-centric platform design. Partner closely with Security, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, and Application Engineering teams to embed governance, compliance, and operational controls directly into engineering workflows and platform capabilities. Define and evolve platform engineering golden paths that simplify software delivery while maintaining flexibility for diverse engineering use cases. Build reusable Infrastructure-as-Code patterns, Terraform modules, and cloud platform abstractions that enable scalable and repeatable engineering workflows. Contribute to the long-term evolution of MSCIs internal engineering platform strategy, developer experience initiatives, and platform modernization roadmap. Support and evolve production-grade engineering platforms with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, usability, observability, and operational resilience. Mentor and guide engineering teams on platform adoption, CI/CD modernization, developer workflows, and engineering best practices. Required Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Developer Platform Engineering, or related software engineering roles. Strong software engineering mindset with hands-on experience building automation, APIs, internal tooling, reusable workflows, or developer platform capabilities. Deep expertise with GitHub and/or Azure DevOps, including repositories, CI/CD pipelines, reusable workflows/templates, governance, permissions, and platform integrations. Experience designing reusable CI/CD frameworks and standardized engineering workflows across multiple teams or organizations. Strong understanding of SDLC architecture, software delivery workflows, source control governance, branching strategies, release engineering, and developer enablement practices. Strong programming and scripting experience in one or more languages such as Go, Java, or TypeScript. Proven experience building and consuming REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations. Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native application delivery patterns. Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-native platforms in Azure and/or GCP. Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code design patterns. Experience driving platform standardization, governance, and engineering enablement initiatives across multiple teams. Strong operational mindset with experience supporting production-grade engineering platforms and developer tooling. Nice to Have Experience with Backstage or internal developer portal technologies.Experience building self-service engineering workflows and developer enablement platforms.Experience with platform observability, engineering metrics, and developer productivity initiatives.Experience with ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Prometheus, Grafana, and Cert Manager.Familiarity with frontend technologies such .
