Role Overview:As a Staff Engineer at Bain & Company, you will play a senior role in independently handling software modules/functions, focusing on technical delivery, stakeholder management, and communication. Your responsibilities will include aligning technical delivery goals with the product vision, coaching and mentoring the team, and contributing to the Agile/scrum software development team. You will collaborate with team members to design, build, and implement new features in enterprise-scale applications, supporting key business initiatives and delivering value to Bains global users.Key Responsibilities:- Provide module-level technical leadership on teams developing and updating enterprise-scale Work as a member of an agile software development team, actively participating in all Agile team events and activities.- Take the lead in developing complex components or functions within a sprint, supporting the Engineering Manager and Product Owner in defining product Collaborate with team members to analyze user stories, define technical approach, and complete committed tasks as per sprint schedule.- Contribute to the design, architecting, and prototyping of applications and significant upgrades, working with Engineering Managers, Architects, and Project/Product Managers.- Prepare work estimates, write unit test plans, and actively participate in the testing and release of application releases.- Provide ongoing support for applications in use, acquire new skills through trainings, and ensure adherence to development project processes and standards.- Contribute to evaluating and employing new technologies, actively promoting research beyond current product requirements.- Communicate effectively across various fronts, demonstrate assertion in communication, and provide feedback to improve team performance.- Provide day-to-day technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers on the agile team.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors or equivalent degree- 8-10 years of experience in developing enterprise-scale applications- Proficiency in frameworks like .NET & .NET Core, languages including C# and Python, web frameworks/libraries such as Angular and React, and RDBMS like Microsoft SQL Server- Experience with cloud services like Microsoft Azure, unit testing tools like XUnit and NUnit, and DevOps tools like GitActions- Exposure to NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, ML algorithms, and GenAI based tools- Strong communication, customer service, analytic, and problem-solving skills- Demonstrated knowledge of agile software development methodologies and processes, with a record of strong performance in prior software development positions(Note: Additional details about the company were not included in the provided job description.)
