The role The Senior Contracts Specialist role is primarily responsible for leading the reviewing and coordinating of responses to client contractual agreementsEnsure that the business risks are reduced to a minimum and that the company contracting principles are upheldSupporting the relevant regions, alongside regional leadership and Corporate in the review, risk analysis and implementation of a range of material agreements. Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas Develops Tender Strategies in accordance with company processes and proceduresDrive contractual support in various international regionsHelps maintain a forward plan for forthcoming contractual support projectsLead the review of client contractual documents ensuring risk and exposure areas are highlighted and qualified, giving full justification for the qualificationEnsuring the correct application of relevant agreements and contracts currently in placeManage qualification responses until closure ensuring compliance with any specific prescribed formats for submissionsEnsure target dates are complied with for responses to clientsEnsure contract and commercial negotiations are conducted in accordance with company proceduresRelease of received works into the Engineering and Project Departments of the companyAs required following a contract award, participate in any handover / kick off meeting with the operations team, including any relevant support functions, of the tender and any qualificationsTake a role in continually reviewing and updating working processes and proceduresAssist and in some instances, lead in the compilation of material agreements with agents, distributors, joint venture partners and othersProvide assistance and advice in the resolution of contractual disputes. Requirements Minimum HNC/HND in Business Management, Quantity Surveying or Law or similarExperience in a contracts or proposals role or an engineering discipline function involved in producing cost estimates or proposalsInternational experience in a Contracts roleCommercial and contractual diligenceRisk analysis. Preferred: Project Management and delivery vs deadlinesAdvanced Microsoft Office skills.
