Description: We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer with deep expertise in native Android development. The ideal candidate has strong Android fundamentals, is fluent in reactive/asynchronous programming (Kotlin Coroutines & Flow, or RxJava), and builds contemporary UIs with Jetpack Compose. They'll be responsible for architecting and delivering scalable, high-quality Android applications, including features that communicate with connected hardware. Prior experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a strong plus. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable native Android applications, including features that communicate with connected hardware (BLE where applicable). Architect app layers using reactive/asynchronous programming patterns and build modern UIs with Jetpack Compose. Write high-quality, efficient code following Android best practices and architectural patterns. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the app and connectivity layers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize requirements. Drive code quality through testing, code reviews, and performance profiling. Requirements: 8+ years of overall software engineering experience, with the majority in native Android development. Strong command of Kotlin and core Android fundamentals memory management, concurrency, app/activity lifecycle, and architectural patterns. Hands-on experience with reactive/asynchronous programming (Coroutines & Flow, or RxJava). Proven experience building production UIs with Jetpack Compose. Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams. Experience integrating Android apps with external connected peripherals.
