Garudalytics is looking for an IoT & Edge Computing Engineer to design and develop next-generation IoT, sensor, Edge AI and geospatial technology products. The role involves working across hardware, embedded systems, edge computing, communication technologies and cloud/GIS platforms. Position: IoT & Edge Computing Engineer Experience: Minimum 27 Years Location: Hyderabad Employment Type: Full-Time Company: Garudalytics Private Limited Key Responsibilities Design and develop IoT and Edge Computing solutions from prototype to production.Integrate sensors, microcontrollers, edge devices and communication modules.Develop solutions usingLoRa/LoRaWAN, BLE, Wi-Fi, 4G/5G, NB-IoT and GNSSDevelop device communication using MQTT, HTTP/REST, TCP/IP and WebSocket.Work with Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, ARM-based systems and Linux.Implement edge data processing, analytics and AI/ML inference.Integrate IoT devices with GIS, GSM, G-Field and cloud platforms.Develop device configuration, monitoring, diagnostics and OTA firmware/software updates.Support sensor calibration, data acquisition, synchronization and validation.Work closely with Hardware, PCB, Embedded and AI teams for complete product development.Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, test procedures and deployment documentation.Support prototype development, field testing and transition to manufacturing.Required Technical Skills Strong programming knowledge in Python and/or C/C++. Experience with Linux-based Edge Computing. Hands-on experience with MQTT and IoT communication protocols. Knowledge of LoRaWAN, BLE, Wi-Fi, 4G/5G and GNSS. Experience with Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson or similar edge platforms. Understanding of sensors, MCU/SoC, GPIO, UART, SPI, IC, RS232/RS485 and CAN. Knowledge of REST APIs, databases and cloud/IoT platforms. Basic understanding of AI/ML deployment at the Edge. Ability to troubleshoot hardwaresoftware integration issues. Preferred Skills Experience in UAV/drone payloads, geospatial systems or industrial IoT. Experience with TinyML, TensorRT, ONNX Runtime or Edge AI. Experience with Docker and containerized Edge applications. Knowledge of cybersecurity, secure device communication and OTA updates. Experience in developing products from PoC prototype field deployment manufacturing. Qualification B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/MCA in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IoT or a related discipline. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
